JobLink Program
The JobLink Housing Voucher Program is the State Version of the Welfare to Work Program. South Shore Housing was awarded 340 rental assistance vouchers for this program. In its administration of the program South Shore Housing provides the rental assistance as well as case management services. Eligibility for this program has special requirements and access to the wait list is by referral through the Department of Transitional Assistance. Participants may participate in short job-training programs and then be permanently employed. Case management services include assistance with housing search, information on various job training or education programs, and referrals to various service agencies and follow up on employment status.
