Property Owner Information
South Shore Housing requires participating property owners to provide decent, safe and sanitary housing to tenants participating in the Rental Assistance Program at reasonable rents. All units selected by tenants must pass an initial inspection by South Shore Housing Property Inspectors, trained in Housing Quality Inspection Standards by the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development. Yearly inspections are then performed to make sure property owners continue to maintain units up to those quality standards as long as they receive housing assistance payments.
