Transition to Independent Living (TIL)
The Transition to Independent Living Program provides assistance to battered women and their children who are fleeing abuse. Under the guidelines of the program we are able to assist the family with items such as; first/last moth rent and security deposit, utility arrearage or deposit, moving costs, transportation costs to view apartments, storage costs and emergency food/clothing, appliances, past due rent/mortgage.
Once the family has found permanent housing, they will be contacted for a six-month follow-up interview.
For more information about this program you may call Kay Eldridge at 781-422-4271 or email keldridge@southshorehousing.org.
